151008 Our paper on a low cost and benign total organic aqueous redox flow battery (OARFB) was officially accepted by the top energy research journal, "Advanced Energy Materials". This is the first total OARFB reported so far while employing a low cost membrane and low cost and benign NaCl supporting electrolyte. Two well known redox active organic compounds, methyl vionlogen (MV) and HO-TEMPO were adopted as anolyte and catholyte enabling a 1.25 V aqueous battery system. The system demonstrated impressive performance including hight cycling rates and capacity retention, opening a promising approach to developing ARFB technology for large scale energy storage, such as renewable energy integration, in-house energy supply, and super charging station.
151005 The Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine 2015 goes to William C. Campbell, Satoshi Ōmura, Youyou Tu (屠呦呦). Tu is a female Chinese scientist, the first Chinese winner of the world class academic honor based on a pure science discovery, Artemisinin (青蒿素，QingHaoSu). Congratulations!

​150929 Leo attended the USTAR Confluence conference, "Where Innovative Ideas Seed, Grow, and Thrive", organized by the Utah Science Technology and Research. It was a rich and exciting experience to gain a sense on how Utah state government, Utah universities, and investors put synergetic efforts in promoting technology development and implementation.
